I am tired of writing. Yes I said it, I’m tired of writing. I followed the advice of a stupid blogger that told me to never edit anything I write. But did that work? No. At this point I’m suffering from low ratings. The one writing star I have on Helium is on the verge of vanishing, and the quality I used to write at is just gone.
I used to be a very good writer. It took me a lot of time to get an article done, but I was actually able to write so that I could get a good base of readers. Because of those readers, I stayed in freelance writing instead of going on to blogging. For all my faithful followers, this is the reason my blog hasn’t been updated for so long.
Then yesterday, I went onto Helium.com (it’s the website I write for) just to find that the one writing star I was desperately holding on to vanished. The one star that really mattered to me was gone. Why? Because my writing quality went down. By a lot. It was a really good wake up call for me. From then on, I decided to make quality what mattered the most instead of both of them.
If you’re in this position, maybe it’s time for you to reflect upon the quality of your writing, and improve. It doesn’t matter how much you write in a day, what matters is how well each article is written. It doesn't mean you should quit; you just need to improve.
